South Korea is one of the most connected and technologically advanced countries in the world. But for many international visitors, that also means unfamiliar apps, payment systems, transportation, and everyday rules that work very differently from what they're used to.
While many travel websites focus on where to go and what to eat, Korea Daily Guide focuses on something just as important: helping you understand how everyday Korea actually works, and what to do when something doesn't go as planned.
Why I Started Korea Daily Guide
I'm Evergreen. I'm a Korean living in Texas.
Few years ago, I spent about six months traveling and living in South Korea. Although I understand the language and culture, I experienced many parts of Korea from a visitor's perspective. I quickly realized that even simple tasks, like booking a hair salon, using local transportation, or paying at a self-service kiosk, could be surprisingly confusing without knowing how the local systems worked.
Since then, Korea has become even more digital, and many everyday services have changed. Information online is often outdated or scattered across different websites.
That's why I created this site. My goal isn't to recommend places to visit. It's to help foreigners understand how modern Korea works, so everyday situations feel less confusing and more manageable.
Where the Information Comes From
Some articles include practical lessons from my own time in Korea. Others are research-based guides built on official government resources, current app documentation, and reliable reports from recent travelers and residents.
Whenever possible, I make clear which is which, so you know where the guidance comes from.

- explain complex topics in clear, practical English.
