About Us

Welcome to the Korea Digital Guide 2026

South Korea is one of the most connected and technologically advanced countries in the world. But for many international visitors, that also means navigating unfamiliar apps, payment systems, transportation, reservations, and digital services that work very differently from what they're used to.

While many travel websites focus on where to go and what to eat, Korea Digital Guide focuses on something just as important—helping you understand how Korea works.

Why I Started Korea Digital Guide

I'm a Korean living in Texas.

Three years ago, I spent about six months traveling and living in South Korea. Although I understand the language and culture, I experienced many parts of Korea from a visitor's perspective. I quickly realized that even simple tasks—booking a hair salon, using local transportation, paying at self-service kiosks, or navigating Korean apps—could be surprisingly confusing without knowing how the local systems worked.

Since then, South Korea has become even more digital.

Many of the services travelers use today have changed significantly, and information found online is often outdated or scattered across different websites.

That's why I created Korea Digital Guide.

My goal isn't simply to recommend places to visit.

It's to help international visitors understand how modern Korea works so they can travel with more confidence and less confusion.

Our Content

Some articles include insights and practical lessons from my own time in South Korea.

Others are research-based guides created using official government resources, current app documentation, and reliable information from recent traveler experiences.

Whenever possible, I clearly distinguish firsthand experience from researched information so readers understand where the guidance comes from.
